Last month, my sister and I attended the third and final day of BroadwayCon 2017. We had such a great time all day, but here are the highlights of our day:

Record-breaking, six-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald will return to New Orleans for Broadway @ NOCCA on March 31, 2017 as a benefit for the The NOCCA Institute.

She won your heart as Lottie Gee, Billie Holliday, and Bess (and that's been just the past few years). Audra McDonald has grown to be perhaps the greatest talent of this generation of live theatre- and she has six Tony Awards to prove it. From Ragtime to Macbeth, Carousel to A Raisin in the Sun, watch below as Richard Ridge chats with the 2017 SAG nominee as a part of SAG-AFTRA Foundation's Conversations series.

The Huntington Theatre Company presents the explosive Pulitzer Prize winner Topdog/Underdog by Suzan-Lori Parks and directed by Tony, Grammy, and Drama Desk Award winner Billy Porter (The Colored Museum at the Huntington and Lola in Kinky Boots on Broadway). Performances run March 10 - April 9, 2017 at the Avenue of the Arts / BU Theatre.

Please join BroadwayWorld and the SAG-AFTRA Foundation for a special live streamed career retrospective Q&A with Audra McDonald, SAG Award Nominee for Lady Day at Emerson's Bar and Grill.

He was joined by some friends from Chicago's cast of Hamilton including Ari Afsar (Eliza), Chris De'Sean Lee (Lafayette/Jefferson) and Samantha Marie Ware (Peggy/Maria Reynolds) singing backup for him. There were also other cast members in the audience including Tony winner Karen Olivo (Angelica), Jose Ramos (John Laurens/Phillip Hamilton) and some other members of the ensemble cheering their friend on.
